In a solemn ceremony on May 21 the delegation of the Foundation Metropoli presented photo album Cities Heirs of Byzantium to the mayor of Smolensk City, Alexander Nikolayevich Danyluk

Smolensk city has the unique cultural objects that were created in the tradition of Byzantine culture, such as the Church of Saints Peter and Paul on Gorodyanka and the icon "Our Lady of Smolensk." The transfer of photo album to the City has become a very important cultural event both for the City of Smolensk and for the culture of Russia.

During the meeting between the city administration and the Foundation Metropoli bilateral cultural exchange between the Italian cities and Smolensk City was discussed.
